Mother Baseleus

Only those who see the invisible can do the impossible

We started a number of institutions, educating the normal children. It was at this juncture, we felt the need to enhance the dignity of the human beings especially, the less fortunate of the society. Hence, we started the School, Vocational Centre and Hostel for the Mentally Challenged Children in 1989 at Wardha. Though, this task of looking after the Mentally Challenged Children seems to be quite hectic, it is a service with love and care aiming at their integral development.

  •  Children are the sweet buds of today and blooming flowers of tomorrow. We were running only the English Medium Schools. Giving priority to the Regional Language and local culture, in 1984 we started a Marathi Medium Primary School at Chandrapur.

  • While serving the Mentally Challenged Children, our attention turned towards the Physically Challenged too. And so we began a Hostel for the Orthopaedically Challenged girls at Chandrapur in 2002. Though they are physically disabled, they are exceptionally talented.

  • The children from all walks of life, come under an umbrella shade by the boarding school run by our sisters at Santwana, Jam, in 2002 and Kagaznagar in 2008. It is a golden opportunity for all the under privileged children.

  • New alternatives are done in the field of education according to the context of our times. And thus, some of our educational institutions have changed the state board syllabus into CBSE and ICSE.

  • Arvi Institute for unwedded mothers and their children. Being Missionaries means stooping down to the need of all, like the Good Samaritan, especially those of the poorest and most destitute people; because those who love with Christ's heart, do not seek their own interests but the glory of the Father and the good of their neighbour alone (Pope Benedict XVI). Taking into consideration, the target group of our service, we began a new home for the unwedded mothers and children at Arvi in the year 2009.
